Holiday Break Fun!

So Olivia's school assigned an extra credit field trip for the holiday break. It was a trip to Cabela's to learn about the animals of Utah that live in the wetlands, the desert and in the mountains. We made it a family affair with me and all the kids going. They had so much fun we didn't want to go home, so we made it into a double adventure and went to the Dinasaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. Fun and learning all in one. They loved it! The Dinasaur movie was really neat, but it was a little over the twins head and Quinn fell asleep. Oh well it was fun anyway!

Kids Christmas Party!

Every year Founders has a Kids Christmas party and even though I haven't worked in their office for several years they still treat us like family and invite me every year. Lana and Tracey did an awesome job putting it all together and Duane was an awesome photographer as always! This year the party got postponed a week because Santa was sick and couldn't make it and then a we woke up to a huge snowstorm so a lot of the people we look forward to seeing just couldn't get there this year. Santa and Mrs. Claus were so great with the kids as always!

Tis the Season!

So the holiday season is upon us and life is on fast forward trying to get everything done in time. I had this week off work so me and the kids got the rest of the decorating done and a little shopping, of course.

A New Tradition?

So this year we thought it would be fun to try something newfor Thanksgiving. So Me, Tammy and Jon decided to run a 5K. It was actually a lot of fun and I'm hoping it becomes a tradition...even if I was a little sore the next day! Next year the girls think they want to run it with me and Taylor thinks he can run it with his Dad. Guess we'll see! Of course Jon totally kicked butt and so did Tammy. I need to train better so I can do better next year!

Jon's time was 23:25.6 He finished 91st overall and 7th in his age division!
Tammy's time was 29:51 She finished 361st overall and 17th in her age division!
My time was 34:17.8 I finished 595th overall and 31st in my age division!

Officially a Big Boy!

So Quinn has moved out of his crib and into his "Big Boy Bed". He is so excited! He slept in it for the first time the night before Thanksgiving and so far it has been smooth sailing. He loves that he is a big boy with his own "Lightning Queen Bed" as he so fondly calls it. Here is a picture of his bed all decked out in Cars, of course.
